EDH (Epidural hematoma) 경막외혈종 정이 : 혈종이 두개골의 내면과 경막(dura mater)사이에 형성되었을 때를 말한다. 두개골에 외상이 생길 경우 골절을 일으키면서 발생하고, 골절이 없는 경우도 가끔 있따 경막에 있는 중수막 동맥,정맥 또는 경막 정맥동의 파열로 출혈하는데, 이 때 경막외혈종이 형성된다 이 혈종이 뇌를 압박하면 환자는 의식이 점차 흐려지고 반신마비가 되며 한쪽 동공이 커지고 대광 반사가 없어진다.
